When I was watching the 24 parody, I couldn’t help comparing it to the South Park parody. SP was much better. Every once in a while during the episode, I leaned over to my husband and said in a hushed voice: “Apple juice farts”.
If I hadn’t seen the SP 24 parody, I would have like The Simpsons 24 parody.

I haven’t seen the South Park 24 parody – wasn’t aware they’d done one.
But I did like this Simpsons 24 parody. The second episode (the Kent Brockman thing) didn’t really hold my attention, but I liked the first one. Definitely helps to be a 24 fan, though. I particularly liked the actual Jack Bauer cameo scenes, as well as the bit that went something like:
“Lisa, there’s a mole at CTU. And I know who it is. And I’m about to reveal the mole’s identity to you, okay? Ready? The mole, who is working with the bullies, and whose name I know, is…” Wham! Bart is knocked out by the mole.
Nice little dig at one or two occurrences in the 24 universe.
I thought both were above average episodes, but the one thing that really did bug me about the second one is that they couldn’t make it through their historic 400th episode without featuring yet another cameo from yet another flavor-of-the-month rap star.
At the start of #399, did that caption read “Homer Simpson, devoted father of two”? Maybe Bart always calls Homer “Homer” rather than “Dad” for a reason.

Homer always forgets about Maggie.

Homer: Oh… We always have one good kid and one lousy kid. Why can’t both our kids be good?
Marge: We have three kids, Homer.
Homer: Marge, the dog doesn’t count as a kid!

In 400, as we have the POV running through the air vents, what was the point of showing Lisa’s teacher and Santa’s Little Helper together?

I thought it was an insinuation of bestiality. Was there anything else to get?
I thought the Moe-dentist joke was funny too, in part because I have my own set of tools at home that I do some periodic cleaning with.
I also thought Homer at the dentist was great. . .with all the screaming, and then “that wasn’t so bad” after the kid jumps out the window.
