Today, March 5, is National Absinthe Day.
So, here is a link to some Absinthe cocktails. The list doesn’t even include a Sazerac.
I’ll be making a Sazerac, and the Absinthe Frappe because I have a nice pastis that will give it an incredible colour. I also love mules so the Bohemian Mule might get a taste as well.

Which is sad, considering today is also Mardi Gras this year.
A little bit of absinthe is a nice touch in a Manhattan.
It’s also good in an Old Fashioned, although that’s essentially a Sazerac, if you use rye whiskey for your Old Fashioned.
Personally, I think if I end up making anything, it’ll be a Dr. Funk. It’s the only tiki drink that’s actually tropical in origin, believe it or not.
