Nope. Had to work until 7, get home in time to pick up the kids (one was sick) from the grandparents, wash 'em, play with 'em, and send 'em to bed. shannablu has to go to work at midnight so she needs her rest until 11 or so (and the computer was wonky until just now so I had something to keep me busy). It’s the price you pay for getting to spend Xmas with family.
So no celebration. We saw each other at work this morning and said our happy anniversaries. After 11 years it comes to that. Too bad. 
Wish I would’ve known you were going to post this thread – last night I had thought I might start it at 2pm today on the hour we were married and surprise her. Internet connection at work was very spotty so I ditched that idea especially when I found out our home computer was on the fritz and she wouldn’t see it anyway. Stupid Norton liveupdates.
Ah well, it was a crappy day at work anyway. A casino on the verge of New Year’s Eve is a nuthouse. Thanks for the good intentions anyways, and thanks to the few that stopped in to reply. Tomorrow is a big day.
Hey, anniversary parties should be kept small and intimate, anyway. Nevermind that you probably have 40-some thousand voyeurs; you can pretend this thread is small and intimate.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes on our anniversary. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about this thread until just a few minutes ago, otherwise I would have thanked you all earlier. Just an update, we did end up going out on New Year’s Eve and we had a great time, so that kind of made up for the crappy day on our actual anniversary. I guess that’s what we get for getting married between the big holidays :).
Belated anniversary greetings! So your anniversary is 12/30? My birthday is New Years Eve! I could have baked a cake!
Maybe next year on NYE you can visit where I go. For years now my middle sister and her husband, and one other couple, have spent the holiday together. It’s a real wild party, we eat munchies, play Trivial Pursuit, and sip champagne. We even watch some television, and listen to the fireworks at midnight.

Oh, and I forgot, shannablu and I could talk about Korea! Horseflesh told me you served over there, but I think you were further north than I was. I was stationed at Camp Humphries from 76-77.
