Happy Doper Milestones thread

Yeah! Congratulations dude.

Thanks!

Congrats to yours, Cartooniverse! And yes, I cried.

Me too. Fuckin’ allergies

A year late (because I never saw this thread before - newly stickied?) my son **Dweezil **graduated from high school. When he was not-quite-3, a doctor told me that it was not terribly likely that this would happen (my son is autistic). My mantra for the next nearly-15 years was “fuck you, Doctor P-----”.

Just this past week I registered for classes at my local community college. This is the first baby-step toward my newfound ultimate goal of becoming a dentist.

This means I’m taking a chemistry class for the first time in ten years. I’m terrified, but serious.

Well this gives a whole new meaning to “Happy Father’s Day”!

(Looks like I’m going to have to find something new to call The Littlest Briston)

This. Again. I cannot conceive of what this path has been for you and your family, Indyellen. Sweet moments like this get re-run for the rest of your life inside of your mind and never lose their sweetness. A glorious achievement for all.

Congratulations!! (Maybe “The Littler But Not Littlest Briston”? Eh, don’t pay attention to me; I suck at naming.)

The penultimate Briston.

Congrats!

I like it!

(And thanks!)

Last week I graduated from my residency in Emegency Medicine. In 2 weeks I’m moving to a totally new part of the country to start my job as Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine.

Mama Zappa and I were married 30 yeara ago today! And they said it wouldn’t last …

They did indeed! I consider that a significant contributor to our longevity - we were darned if we were gonna let “they” be right ;).

Yay!! You should start an “ask the ER doc” thread (I know USCDiver did one a while back, time for a new one!!).

Yay you two !!! How wonderful is that?!

Pretty damn wonderful!

Happy Anniversary! Yay!

Having lived through my first half-century, today I embark on my second.

The Firebug started first grade this week.

It doesn’t mean you’re getting old.

It doesn’t.
