We lefties can’t count. We’re artists not mathematicians!
(I know it’s simulpost idiocynchrasy (sp?) but it’s kind of amusing to pretend it’s not and pretend that people are having trouble working out what the next number should be. I find this amusing because I am currently at the part in ‘men at arms’ where Cuddy is teaching Detritus to count)
ah feet. My feet are strange - I ‘feel’ left-footed, but when playing soccer (I hate not being able to call it football) My accuracy was better with my right foot. (but left foot more powerfull)
can’t say the same about my hands. If I try to throw with my right hand I throw like a 7 year old girl with her eyes closed.
Speaking of left-handed scissors, I found a pair of Fiskars today that are actually comfortably either-handed – nice soft grips. A very pleasant discovery, since my poor left-handed scissors have been about worn out being used to cut everything over the years.
I’m a firm believer that left-handed people are better at doing things with their right hand than right-handed people are with their left hand – mostly from sheer necessity. A few things are made left-handed, but for example, I have yet to find a left-handed computer keyboard, that has the number pad on the left. Something I would kill for.
I golf left, but putt right,
right eye dominant
shoot rifles righty but pistols left,
left footed,
And I can do things with my right hand better than most right handed people can, but they suck anyways.
Me too! Fnord is right, right-hand people suck I myself do not have a right hand. I have a left hand and a wrong hand. It’s not the right hand for much of anything(although I do use it for the mouse), so why call it that?
DON’T count me again!~!!!..(((I’m #2 !!!))) (uh…well, I mean I responded SECOND)
I just had to re-respond…and add my 2cents…
I am left handed when I eat, write, smoke, and shoot pool.
I am STRONGER with my right hand.
I cut with scissors, bowl, bat, golf (miniature), shoot, use the 10-key adding machine (came in handy: add #'s with right, write info down w/left) and use the computer mouse right handed.
I am not ambidextrious (sp?)
I am an artist
I am off the wall
I am done.
Are there people here who are actually ambidexterous and not realizing it hint hint?
I hate to say this and I apologise to anyone it applies to but it bugs me (slightly) when I hear people say “I am left handed” and then list loads of things they do with their right hand.
I do almost nothing with my right hand - The things I do do with it are out of necesity -
All the two-hand jobs must use right hand (duh) such as using keyboard, riding bike, playing gameboy, eating dinner etc…
Carrying things - I have terrible shoulder ‘problems’ (it doesn’t hurt, but it feels very very uncomfortable sometimes, especially after long periods of using the mouse) so in the hope of leveling things out I carry heavy things with my right hand as often as possible.
I have been told that I was ambidexterous as a child, but I never remember it.
Why are we doing this number thing? Whatever, count me in
Eat and write with my left
I’m right handed (or footed) for all non-racket sports (basketball, football, golf, hockey, bowling etc) - so my right is stronger than my left
And the computer-mouse is used by my right-hand too
