Happy Left Hander's Day!

Assumption: Dopers = Smartest discussion board = a higher proportion of Left Handers = Cool-er people

See what I mean… you don’t get “presents”.

You can have all the ones you want during the several years you’ll outlive us.

And the right-handers will probably still have all their fingers.

Some tools such as circular saws can be flat-out dangerous to use left-handed.

Awww, I missed the day too. I feel so left behind.

I, too have a left hand. It is stupid as hell and does not get a special day.
It does give my right hand a break once in a while.

I missed it too! Serious lefty, here.
Happy day after to my lefty sisters and brothers everywhere.

Edit: I didn’t realize someone else asked this already. :stuck_out_tongue:

About 10 percent of people are left handed. About 10 percent are gay. isn’t it nice that god made it so easy for us to pick them out?

For Left-Handers day, I gave my left hand the day off, and instead used my right hand…

to do the dishes.

What?

Aww, I didn’t mean it that way.

When I was in social work school there were a huge percentage of us who were left-handed. It just seems we cluster in certain areas.

So you are adding that lefties are also more altruistic… :stuck_out_tongue:

Computer mouse is an extra trap… if, like me you’re a leftie who has adapted to using a right-hand mouse (simply repositioned to the left of the keyboard) then an actual left-hand configured mouse can be worse than having to use a mouse with your right-hand.

Oh, and we have a left hander’s day?! I’ll need to remember for next year.

Sort of related, we have a teenage girl at work that does announcements on the PA and she is the female version of Ned Flanders.

I call her Ned Flander’s and everyone knows who I mean. I have zero idea what her name is.

I"m cross-dominant - can I have a half a Left-Handers’ Day next year?
