After almost four years together and close to a year of hiding an engagement ring (very unsuccessfully), my daughter’s boyfriend finally popped the question!
He asked my permission last night, which I thought was silly, but whatever. I learned later she told him he had to.
Today we went to the Zoo and in front of the bats (her favorite animal), he got down on one knee, asked “Will you”, where she proceeded to yell “WHATTHEHELLYES!”
I suppose, technically, he didn’t actually propose, as he never finished the question, but she spent the drive afterwards looking at her hand and muttering “Fiancé? I’m engaged?”
