Happy Thoughts for moi and that_darn_cat, please.

Bonus points to Ginger. Not only did she start this sweet thread, but her last post made me actually giggle.

JC, no, I’m not. Until last night I didn’t realize there was actually such a number of collectors. In my innocence, I thought it was only 7-year-olds and me using those machines…

You should ask to see my collection next time you come up here. I’ve got hundreds.

Really.

And how’s that for a come on?

“Hey, baby. Wanna come up to my pad and see my squished pennies?”

I’ll bet that’s the line you used on Lady Chance.

Hi all,

So, thanks for all the support, you guys are great. I’m doing well and things could be a lot worse. Staying here at work is really not too bad, it’s set up to be a residence so I’m pretty comforatable. And the commute is a snap!

Thanks Ginger for the offer of crash space, but really I’m fine. Our freind in Hampden will put me up this weekend, so I’m good there.

Really, though it sucks a lot, we could be a lot worse off.

Ironically, for those of you who don’t know, I work for Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity, an organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing, and here I am, homeless.

Cheers,

tdc

Hey, y’know, with my husband homeless and a hundred miles away, that is the best offer I’ve gotten all week.

*looks to bottom of thread and sees tdc’s post

smiles bashfully at hubby* Oh. Um. Hi, hon.

How YOU doin’?

Hugs to moi and my alter cat brother that_darn_cat.

Glad you’re both well, despite some soot.

Danke, danceswithcats. We have, of course, a new appreciation for your firefighter brethren. Nice lot. They saved most of my worldly goods and my home.

Damn! I was so close!

Tell you what…TDC likes construction. While I’m…um…showing you my pennies…he can fix up the guest house.

Yeah…that’s it. That’s…perfect.

Update, just to give you a
So, tdc and I had figured on not seeing each other again until a few days before Christmas, which we’re scheduled to spend with my family.

With everything else going on, this just seemed unavoidable, though it certainly was the source of much sadness. I felt like this was something we could soldier through with our powers combined…but being apart has certainly made it rougher.

However, I just got a call from my cat, informing me that he and one of his co-workers are on their way to NJ. Guess B’more wasn’t amusing them this weekend? Don’t really know…all I know is that I’m going to have my husband back for the next two days. An unexpected, wonderful gift that’s got my heart a-thumpin’.

[sub]aside Hey, JC, he heads back on Monday. That gives you a few more days to work on those pick-up lines, eh?[/sub]

EH?

You said eh?

Am I rubbing off on you?

Stop rubbin’ up against me, lady. I told ya, my husband’s comin’ home!

Plus, it’s rude. The line forms behind Mr. Chance, afterall.

T-minus ten minutes and [sub]YOU BETCHA[/sub] counting…

That’s it. If you weren’t in flagrante delicto with a cat right now, there would be some serious Canadian lessons.

I’ll bet you don’t even know what a touque is. Hoser.

and a beer in a tree. Take off!
