Happy Trafalgar day!!! Huzay.

On this day in Admiral Lord Nelson destroyed a combined Spanish and French fleet, thus giving a massive setback to the Tyrant Nepoleon and his attempt to conquer Europe. Nelson died in the battle and the fleet was brought into port by Collingwood after being battered by a storm. Grogs up!

Napoleon even.

“Kiss me, Hardy.”

And Admiral Nelson also got his own column in Trafalgar Square.

Thus beginning a centuries-long debate over who was the biggest British hero – Admiral Nelson or the Duke of Wellington.

Hey, Collingwood got a column as well! It might not be as tall as Nelson’s, but at least he’s looking out to sea.

Marlborough.

Alan Turing!
