Hard Knocks - Houston Texans

Didn’t see a thread either here or in Cafe Society – thought this would be a better fit.

Obligatory disclaimer: I am a Texans fan.

With that out of the way, I’m enjoying this season. It is definitely the J.J. Watt show and with his athletic ability, personality, and charisma, I am seeing a post-career transition ala Michael Strahan. Overall, though, it appears like no one works as hard as he does on every little thing that he does.

Brian Cushing looks like a major douche in just about every scene he’s in. Ben Jones looks like a country bumpkin in every one of his scenes. Bob McNair (the owner) looks like some antebellum plantation owner as he ambles around his general manager and the players, especially when he went up to Virginia and visited with the Virginia governor and the Daniel Snyder at the Governor’s Mansion.

The standard features on players on the bubble, etc. are always fun to watch.

But it’s the developing connection between Watt and Wilfork and the coaching style of Bill O’Brien that are the most interesting to me.
