Okay, so a couple of us over in the “piano ballads suck” thread were flabbergasted to find out that Paul Stanley is apparently a flaming homo. I remember being similarly surprised to find that Rob Halford was gay (I know, the outfits should have been a dead giveaway, I just thought it was a heavy metal thing…).

Are there more surprises you’d like to share with us?

I’m not talking “shoulda knowns” like Freddie Mercury or Elton John. I’m talking about guys I just wouldn’t have guessed were gay, based on their public personas…

I don’t give a shit - I haven’t cared about KISS for 35 years, and I sure as heck don’t care about gender preferences. But this is news to me, and as someone with friends in the business I am surprised I didn’t know it. So count me in as curious, if only from a “I typically know the big rumors” standpoint…(sorry, that sounds like I think I am Mr. Insider - I clearly am not…but I normally know this kind of stuff, dammit! :D)

Don’t be pretentious. The band has a reputation as being one of the most promiscuous rock bands of all time, and in the world of rock music that is really saying a lot. So to hear the Paul Stanley is gay, is sort of…a gigantic fucking surprise? What’s the point of being so snide to me?
