I visit AICN from time to time even though the site is slow as hell and I hate the huge font size he uses throughout. Harry’s taste in movies sucks too because he likes about 98% of what he sees, but I can’t attack someone who, like me, loves film that much.

Anyway, mocking him for being geeky, fat or a possible virgin is low.

Second, to Futile Gesture: sure, anyone can accuse someone of engaging in defensive-projection when they criticize someone–i.e. “I hate what I see in you because I hate it in myself”. It’s trotted out because it’s true.

I think it’s generally accepted that the man is an impossible geek in excess of 99% of the planet, so undoubtedly you and he differ. So why do you care?
