My husband and I read The Lord of the Rings this way, as well as the Harry Potter books. It’s relaxing.
And we’re 26 and 27. Not too old for Harry Potter.

I’m 35 and I read them aloud to my 10 year old. He’s old enough to read them himself, but it was fun for us. I would try to use different voices for the main characters, and we had a blast.
We are currently reading the “Deltora Quest” series. There are seven books in all, and they are very basic, but my wife, son and I read each book in one sitting the day it comes out. They are very good.

thanx alot everyone for the advice. I apriciate it alot.

Bookworm, if it makes you feel better, I still go raid the young adult section of the library on occasion (even if I do get odd looks for doing it). Sometimes, a good, uncomplicated old friend of a book does more for my mood than anything else (even comfort food). Besides which, if you’re reading, period, you’re doing better than a lot of others out there.
