It’s just basic logic. If she has the clout to insist on the ENTIRE cast being British than getting continuity of the set is nothing. So yes, it is my opinion that she had the clout to do it. Unless you have a document you’d like to reference then it’s your opinion she doesn’t.
The synopsis looks like it was written for Teen Magazine.
I have documents that I’ve already referenced. Since your “opinion” is clearly immune to cites, I don’t know why you’re asking me for more now. You’ve already told me that you’re not going to change your mind. I believe you. I acknowledge that nothing I could say and no evidence I could produce could ever shake your rock-solid certainty on this matter.
“And then there’s Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings.” Actually, “simpering” is a good description of Lavender’s demeanor. But Hermione is simmering with jealousy.
Jeese louise. what’s your opinion on the color blue?
Sadly or happily, that does happen with threads from time to time.
Since this thread is about Harry Potter 6, and since the question of how much control any one individual has in film-making is a difficult and different question, I’m going to suggest that the discussion of Rowling’s role/power/authority be set in a separate thread. If you two want to continue that discussion, let’s do it in a setting where others might read and participate, rather than on page 4 of a thread with a different title. If you’d like any of your prior posts copied and moved to that new thread, email me with post number and I’ll duplicate them and include them.
Meanwhile, I think the HP-6 discussion has pretty much run its course, so I’m closing this one.
