We have exactly one confirmed town. I think we should lynch whoever story wants to lynch.

That’s a very bad idea, in my opinion. In some respects, my vote is the only one that doesn’t matter. Because I’m confirmed, you can trust my motives, and analysis of my voting pattern is not going to be useful. But:
-
I have no more knowledge than anyone else. My vote is no better informed, wiser, or more likely to be correct than anyone’s; and
-
If everyone follows me, it completely fouls the vote record. It prevents us from analyzing anyone’s vote, because everyone will simply be voting for the same reason (to follow me). Admittedly, if we’re at LoL today, then it doesn’t matter, but if we mislynch toDay and the game continues (or if we lynch Scum and the game continues), toDay’s vote record will matter.
Thus, I very strongly feel that everyone else should get on the record with a vote before I vote at all.
Maybe I should use some more italics next time.
Absolutely not. Storyteller should not be making cases. He should be judging the merits of the cases we make because we can trust him to be objective. It would have been nice for LPN to function in this capacity as well but wish in one hand spit in the other.
It is always tempting though. I know the first few games I played, as soon as a player was confirmed, I would go along with everything they said. Because we all knew they were town. How could it go wrong? Because there’s no guarantee that story’s intuition will in fact lead him to scum.
Reminder:
I am leaving in next couple hours for California. Red Skeezix, and perhaps Peeker, will be co-modding.
Because I am elsewhere, the write-ups may be delayed. Day ends at Noon Eastern Thursday, but that doesn’t mean you can assume I or a co-mod will write up the Day End text then. Be patient.
Times are still in effect, though. You can’t vote after Noon Eastern on Thursday even if a mod has not ended the Day with a write up.

this could be yuckles for a day or so. when nurse ratched gets back she is going to be so pissed.
ok, i’ll play it straight from here on out.
This is interesting. Who did you vote yesterDay? Oh yeah, Hardly. This was your case:
OK, a placeholder vote to prevent a runaway train on Zeriel. And your final vote stayed there because:
Town can choose, OK but your vote?
Interesting question but still not a case. Next?
Useful info but still no case. What did you say next?
Nope, that’s not related. Where’s your case? You left a potential tie with a potential double-lynch in the hands of a player you now think is scum. You gave no reason for your vote on Hardly but left it there till the end of the Day. Accountability?
Vote OneAndOnlyWanderers
- Vote on Hardly
- Vote on Inner when we’re possibly at lylo based on a single Day 5 event which has been deemed by a confirmed Town as a null tell and by our surviving mason as having zero scum motivation
- 4 3rd votes - it seems intentional
- floating, a question here, a comment there, a response over there but nothing added to the hunt for scum
- suggestion to blindly “follow the mason”
- I’m not seeing Jimmy’s “very strongly town vibe from the way he (B]OaOW** went after Omi” - he voted, added reasoning immediately afterwards (a strategy used several times, is he concerned how his vote will look to Town?), defended his vote and suggested we wait till Omi flips before scrutinizing voters
- Even better than Zeriel’s hypothesis, a great scum strategy for this game would be: get a vote in, make it the third one as often as feasible, stay visible but not really, and get out of town’s way.

#621 Suggests we all vote whoever Story votesI believe Story is Town. The only way I can reconcile Chipa’s Day 1 play with being scum is if he simply didn’t know Red was on his team. If scum cannot talk during the Day, given the fact that Red subbed in after Day 1 started, this is somewhat plausible but pretty gastardly. I don’t understand Jimmy’s comment that every player I’ve questioned was Town given the fact that we do not know the alignment of the remaining players. Inner Day 1 non-vote still stands out.
I guess it’s a difference of opinion. That post (#214) seems to me to be one of the most town-positive posts all game, and his reasoning was well enough articulated in the post in which he voted. Then he said he’d happily be accountable for his vote and had already given a reason, and said in response to ShadowFacts’ in-hindsight unnecessary fears about the run on Omi that he’d prefer to go through with the lynch and then analyze how the run developed in the even that Omi was town. That’s good town play, and one would expect that scum would have wanted to encourage ShadowFacts’ line of thinking, not press on in spite of it.
It’s pretty simple to understand. The majority of your gameplay up to that point had been to very gently quiz a bunch of different players about assorted points, and at all times the questions turned out to be more or less non-starters. All of those players who have died were town players. If Chip or Story is scum - and you’ve said you don’t think they are - or Inner Stickler is - but you’ve voted for Wanderers - then that pattern will be broken. If they aren’t, it will hold. Even the living players that you’ve previously asked for explanations are the ones you concede the probable towniness of.
Rysto, Shadow, Chronos, HardlySanguine, and Meeko were the ones you questioned. I know now that they were all town. It’s not that you had the temerity to ask them questions, of course; it’s that it seems very likely to me that it’s going to end up being the case that once the scum went two down, you adopted an approach that consisted entirely of very non-aggressively swiping at almost every subsequently-dead town player. A bunch of questions doesn’t tell anything about the person asking them, unless those questions are all that player does, they’re all very mild, all the dead parties end up being town, and there’s no accompanying pursuit of any of the angles suggested by the initial questioning. When all those are present, it looks calculated.

In answer to Guiri. I didn’t think Zeriel was scum. I wasn’t sure one way or the other about Hardly, but a vote on Hardly was the only way I could see to attempt to give Zeriel a chance. I was then watching for vote shifts causing/breaking a tie to use as data points for today. Inner’s total avoidance of the same struck me as suspicious, hence today’s vote.
Especially when you consider that a scum player would have KNOWN both options were town so may have been leery about casting a decisive vote either way.
Hey, folks.
I’m actually stuck in Las Vegas due to delays for a day. Shoot, what to do?
Anyway, I’m watching the game as much as possible.
I questioned Rysto and Chipa non-agressively before Omi gained his first vote. I questioned Omi in my vote post. I interacted with Story non-agressively before and after Red’s claim.
Questions asked on later Days to Meeko and Shadow went unanswered.
I questioned Chronos as part of my vote post and again afterwards about his statements on the masonry and saw no need to change my vote.
I asked Hardly about his reference to quidditch and his defense of OaOW. From his reply I understood that he was attempting to breadcrumb something - I thought his character, I now realize it was a reference to the snitch. His comment about OaOW made sense once he’d referenced his previous comment about Rysto.
I feel you’ve formed an impression of how scum should have played this game and are trying to make my play match this theory. While your theory may be sound, it doesn’t apply to me unless you think I foresaw the death of two scum and adapted my play accordingly from the start of the game.
I rather suspect there was no way I could have voted that would have made you happy. Oh well.
Vote One And Only Wanderers
I dislike that he advocated following the mason and hasn’t defended or retracted his position. It’s a bad strategy move in general and I especially don’t like seeing it brought forth at this critical gametime.
happy with my Inner vote
