Has anyone else noticed that the main “Harry Potter” theme sounds very much like the main “Schindler’s List” theme? Is John Williams running out of ideas or what?

Heh… I was actually thinking the other day that most of the score for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone sounds like it was lifted straight out of Jurassic Park, with the exception of the few original moments.
And then, of course, it seems that Williams wrote very little new music for Chamber of Secrets, as much of what they used for it was re-cycled from the first film.
Yeah, I’d say Williams is way past original these days. I’ve never been a big fan, and I think he’s always gotten his best ideas from other works, but his last few films (Harry Potter, Star Wars) have been far less than stellar.
