NBC’s “Harry’s Law”-- if you’ve seen it, do you think that it’s somewhat like a female version of “Perry Mason,” at least where the title character is concerned?
If you mean that both are lawyers? Then yes. Other than that no.
If anything, it’s yet another version of the David E Kelley ‘wacky Lawer ensemble’ show except the hook is that the main character is a grouchy female ex-patent lawyer who sets up her own “criminal/family law/whatever else” practice in an old shoe store in a bad neighborhood.
Or so I gather from the few episodes that I’ve seen. Perry Mason was a clever sleuth with a plucky secretary and a good PI on his team - very little similarity between that and any of the DEK shows.
Yep typical David Kelly fare. Not that well done this time IMHO. Or maybe I’m just tired of his schtick now.
The first season was much better - this second season has moments, but has gotten unwieldy.
They lost me in the first season.
Perry Mason’s clients were always innocent of the act they were accused of. Not so Harry’s clients.
