You have to admit a crime to turn yourself in ? Never heard of that. Many people show up at the police station , does not impact their plea. His bond is actually $10 mil. He is pleading not guilty.
Turning yourself in means you are not going to make the authorities come out to arrest you at home or in the street, but all you admit is that there is a charge against you.

He could ask for a bench trial.
But I bet he could find plenty of dudes who don’t think he did anything wrong.

The police would have told him, probably through his lawyer(s), that they have a warrant for his arrest. The lawyers organise for him to go to the police station by a certain time.

They don’t do it with everyone, usually with those who are “co-operating with the investigation” and they don’t think you’ll run off.

OJ agreed to turn himself in for the murder charge. When he did not show up at the police station he ended up in that slow car chase and when that ended up he was arrested at home.
His NY trial started today and he was also charged with felony rape and sex assault in LA.
Not guilty on the most serious charges but he may still do up to 25 years
I hope he gets the maximum.
He is also indicted in LA so he could get a longer sentence there.
and still facing charges in CA if I recall. Is it just me or does anyone else think the walker he uses is for the jury and when not in court he doesn’t used. I guess I am just thinking the worst.
