Has anyone actually been able to purchase Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles? (US)

To anyone who’s bought it, no spoilers please.

The US release date is listed as today, but every store I’ve called says they don’t have it, and websites list it as either being available as of tomorrow or Thursday. Some even have it listed as unavailable with the release date being today!

There’s only one review on gamerankings.com and I know for certain that neither IGN nor Gamespot have reviewed it yet.

When was it that the retail section of the gaming industry decided that a game would become available the day after its scheduled release? I can understand places being sold out of a game on launch day, but not even selling it?

I’ve seen (but not read) some user reviews of the game, which makes me wonder if people are actually able to get it today. Is this one of those “pre-order with Gamestop and get it on launch day, otherwise you have to wait” situations?

Has anyone been able to purchase it today?

Game releases have always been strange. I’m sure it’ll be available in stores soon, but sometimes they’re available on the “release date” and other times game companies treat that as the “ship to store date.”

Contra 4 releases tomorrow, but Amazon is telling me I have to wait until Friday before they’ll have it to ship to me.

It sucks, but it’s always been this way.

Everything I’ve seen has listed it as out today for the Wii, because I wondered why the hell they would release it the day after Super Mario Galaxy.

I’ll be picking it up as soon as I’m through with SMG, though.

Am I the only one disappointed that this game was so short? I should’ve expected it, I suppose, with the graphics and textures, but a review I read described this as a 20 hour game. My sister and I finished it in far less than that, and that’s with a lot of replays.
