Has anyone bred a more pro social breed of cat

He (she?) is making a choice then. For a cat with apparent trust and safety issues I’d say choosing to be in a vulnerable state near you is a pretty big statement. There’s at least trust there if not affection.

I think it just occurred to me why I like cats, rather than dogs:

A dog can love anyone unconditionally. But when a cat loves you, it feels like you’ve earned it.

Dog: “Humans feed me, pet me, shelter me. They must be gods.”

Cat: “Humans feed me, pet me, shelter me. I must be a god.”

Y’all must have heard this one: Dogs have masters. Cats have servants.

I’ve heard great things about a Savannah cat. They supposedly are dog like loyal, follow the owners around, are trainable, walk on a leash and jump from the floor to the top of a refrigerator in one leap.

Here’s a little info on them.

Turncoats.

Actually, they are mentally unbalanced. It appears to be hereditary.

They have already done this. The trend to have small pocket sized dogs that fit in your purse and you can carry around has filled this niche. Think of it as convergent evolution.

Ah. Explains it.

How can you tell when a cat is pretending to sleep?

It pretends to ignore you.

I’m not a “cat person,” but I’ve never encountered a cat which didn’t like me. lady downstairs from me has a Thai Cat (or classic Siamese) and she has to be the friendliest, most outgoing cat I’ve ever encountered.
