I’m watching a film called Flatliners, in which a group of medical students who stop one of their hearts and then bring him or her back to life.
This got me thinking, has anyone tried this? Is it possible? Would a human with their heart stopped experience death or something like it or would they just be dreaming until brain death?
Well, people go through cardiac arrest and resuscitation all the time (albeit not deliberately, but what difference should that make?). Apart from the well-publicised out-of-body experiences|hallucinations my impression is that they are just unconscious.
I flatlined once.
