Has anyone ever read/seen this cartoon?

About 15 years ago I read a book that was a cartoon (maybe a comic but it wasn’t funny) in the library. I was wondering if anyone has read it and, if so, knows where I can get a copy.

The cartoon was about an older couple. Somehow they were exposed to radiation. I can’t remember if the exposure was due to a bomb or a nuclear power plant incident. They didn’t know, however, that they were dying from radiation poisoning. The comic was cool because towards the end, the couple had a greenish tinge to their skin. The illustrator introduced this tinge slowly throughout the book as they got sicker and sicker. I think they eventually died.

Please help me locate this. I’ve been thinking about it for years but I can’t remember any helpful details (title, author, etc.).

I found it. Now that I know the name and author, I feel kind of silly.

It’s When the Wind Blows by Raymond Briggs.
