Yes, it’s $400 per child. We got ours, a check for $800 on Monday. It was immediately converted into new tires for my husband’s truck.
So let me get this straight…If my buddy owes me ten dollars, I’m supposed to be happy with him when he comes up and tells me:
Am I missing something here?
Actually … the credit was $600/child; for 2003 it will be $1000/child, so if your buddy owed you ten dollars and he gave you four of them, yeah, that’s sort of what this is like! LOL See, it’s the $400 more that you will be getting on the 2003 return, if that makes any sense. As I previously noted, in snark mode, only the Republicans could come up with something as convoluted as this!
In a way I wish I could re-circulate some of this money since I’ve been off work and on half pay, but I think I would much rather get it in a larger lump at the end of the year.
I am kind of curious as to why we didn’t qualify last year, and why we probably won’t again this year though.
Four children that we claim and living paycheck to paycheck has to count for something.
