I’ve done the Ke’e Beach to Hanakapi’ai and have always wanted to go back and do the full 11 miles out, camp at the beach and come back the next day.
Is it crazy dangerous?

It’s not crazy dangerous. I and some friends camped in Kalalau Valley for about four weeks one summer in the 70’s. If we went food shopping, we had to hike out 11 miles and then hitch-hike to the nearest store and back to the trail head and then hike back 11 miles to the valley. So that’s 22 miles in one day.
We ate a lot of beans and rice. We also harvested some opihi and malasian prawns and taro.
I don’t know how it is now, but back then not too many folks wore clothes in Kalalau Valley. I guarantee you will get sunburned on your butt.
Gotta watch out for Skarrj though.
