Has anyone never thrown up/had a bloody nose etc?

I just had my first bloody ever a few days ago and some of my friends are astounded by this fact. I only know one person that hasn’t thrown up yet in their life and a few that haven’t had a nosebleed yet. Has anyone else never had a bloody nose, thrown up, or had a headache?

It’s been over 20 years since I last barfed. I’ve never had a bloody nose. I might get one headache a year (usually related to a bad sleeping position).

I’d never had a nosebleed until about one and half years ago, when I got into a fight and had my nose broken for me. Now it bleeds at the frequency of about once a month.

I haven’t done either since I was a kid. 27 years since I’ve thrown up, probably 18-20 since I’ve had a bloody nose. Lucky me.

I have never had a nosebleed. Not even after my face was smashed with a very heavy metal door.

Today is actually the 21st anniversary of the last time I puked (god, why do I remember shit like this?). I was about to turn 5 and had fractured my skull. After almost a full week of close to non-stop puking, I actually taught myself not to. Kinda sucks now. Especially since I got drunk for the first time a month ago and I would have really liked to puke after that escapade. I am totally incapable of doing it now.

Unfortunately, I have headaches almost every day.

What boggles my mind is people who have never had heartburn. After spending close to 20 years with reflux, I’m amazed that some people can eat anything and everything but never feel the intense pain I have had almost every moment of my life.

Yeah, same here. Though my reflux just started suddenly this summer so I don’t have the 20 years. I do have headaches everyday though.
My nose bleed was totally random and caused by AFAIK, absolutely nothing. My nose didn’t even bleed when I got a stick jammed up there at age eight so I dunno why it just bled when I was just sitting around.

I only ever got heartburn when pregnant, and I have had exactly four nosebleeds in my life, mostly when preggers. I threw up alot too.

Pregnancy really screws everything up!

I’ve had many bloody noses, maybe a half-dozen a year (totally WAG).

Throwing up… not in years from being sick. But a few times a year from other causes.

I started a thread many moons ago asking if I was the only one who never had a spontaneously occurring headache. The closest I’ve come is having a kind of dull throb behind my left eye from overtiredness. Otherwise, I never just “get” a headache. Odd, I suppose, since migraines run in my family. I’ve only had a bloody nose a few times in 40+ years, mainly from it being very dry in the house.

I can’t say the same about throwing up. After I stopped drinking 20-odd years ago for that very reason, I didn’t throw up until I came to the US, where it seems the cleanliness standards at quite a few restaurants are not as stringent as they are in Canada.

I don’t think I’ve ever had heartburn. I don’t even know what Tums or Pepto-Bismol taste like.

I’m just guessing you guys are in your lower 20’s, Yes? You haven’t lived…

I got my first nose bleed for no reason when I was just a kid, the only one I had from a punch in the nose was from a fight when I was 34, I was defending my honor*, and I had to because nobody else would. Broke my finger too. You should have seen the other guy…(I’m female, BTW)

The first time I barfed was when at 15 years of age (Completely unauthorized hijack of Legit Charity tin can donations) program that I volunteered for went out and bought a fifth of rut gut vodka and only a Quart (I swear, only a quart!!!) of Orange juice with which to dilute it. LEARN FROM THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE: it’s no fun to puke into your hair and bedsheets when you’re drunk and have to get up, take a shower, do laundry, remake the bed because your anal retentive MOM is standing over you until 4 AM making sure you do these things in the name of punishment and being responsible for your actions.

I’m also assuming that you guys are “YOUNGsters” from the fact that you haven’t had a headache. My infinite blessings upon you if this is truly the case or if you only have one headache a year. Do you never have to deal with bosses or bad days at work or bad days with significant others, or don’t have alcoholism running in your family’s genes? Try to keep it that way.

I’m just hoping that “Use your words”, “Use your indoor voice”, EMO music and behavior modification have worked their magic and that your generation has overcome and surpassed the mistakes of the previous generations.

I’ve never had a bloody nose.

I’ve only had one bloody nose and that was when I was about 5 and it got smashed hard.

My wife has never had Brain Freeze, I find that odd.

Jim

Never had a bloody nose either. Or a broken bone.

Plenty of barfing tho. Coupla pregnancies will indeed do that to a gal.

I last threw up on NYE then on New Years day. Started 11:58pm and finished around 1:30am. Not non stop of course

Last time I upchucked was 1977, I had the flu…no, I really HAD the flu. I thought I was going to die, as a matter of fact I wanted to die.
Bloody nose? I guess when I went through a windshield in '72, but apparently there was so much blood, who could tell. My face looked like a Holloween mask for several weeks.
, still got a zipper from my right eyebrow to my hairline.
When I was a kid I used to get spontaneous nosebleeds. Doctor told my Mom to have me eat raw cabbage. Fortunately I loved raw cabbage. It seemed to work, as the nosebleeds stopped.

I was thinking of this just the other day cause I thought it odd that a lot of my friends and people I talk with talk about how they threw up this and that (my friends are very open)…and myself, I haven’t thrown up in ages. At least 15 years or so (I’m 26).

Nosebleeds I get often enough, though.

Frequent nose bleeder here.

I’ve done my fair share of puking (usually it’s the drinkin’ that does me in), but fortunately never in my bed! Never had heartburn, never had a nosebleed, and I don’t think I’ve ever had brain freeze! Never broken any bones either. I’m doing pretty good so far (I’m 24).

Talk to your doctor about it. My doctor put me on Nexium and I was astonished at the difference. At the rate I was eating antacids, I might even be saving money.

I’ve had a nosebleed only once - after a fight. I’ve never had a hangover, though.
