I’m curious about this. A student(7th Grader) gave me a copy of this and said it was good. I’m considering reading it myself and if it is really good, perhaps reading it to kids in future years.
Anyone know about it? What did you like or dislike?

My kids (pre-teens) like it and its sequel. I read the first and thought it okay.
Negative - another “marginal, quirky kids become heroes” story.
Positives - these kids are quirkier than usual, and there are some inventive bits.

Yes, I talked to the author at the Buckeye Book Fair and got it from him there. I liked it. I plan to read the sequels, if the library has them. I think Maserschmidt has a good evaluation.
