Hi, all. I got the PMs. Chowder was kind enough to send some British chocolates to my wife after her first trip to London a few years ago.
Unfortunately, my wife is now my ex, and after searching my Gmail, I can’t seem to find any info where he and I contacted one another. It may be that our communication was through PM rather than email, in which case, it’s long gone. 
I’ll keep searching, but I haven’t had any luck. My best wishes as well.

IIRC, chowder is a retired mail carrier. Would the postal authorities have any info? They’d know if he stopped getting his pension.

Possibly not. But if he is on their rolls, they may agree to get a message to him or his family. You could even luck out and get the name of a hospital he might be in.

It take a while for deaths to get reported, but it’s quite effective in 90% of cases searched here.
Hi samclem, oddly enough, when I did a quick search on the Manchester Evening News site, they listed something like that which I looked at and… it was a database full of American info. :smack:

Seriously, people are trying to track him down, in real life? To what end? Perhaps he would rather not have faceless internet people (and lets be frank, this is just a message board) trying to trace his identity through newspapers and post offices.
What if he is simply going through a hard time personally, and would rather nobody knew about it?
I mightnt be the best example, but if I ever stop posting here, I hope to god my family doesnt get a random phone call from the Dope checking if I’m actually ok, lets have a bit more perspective than that.
