Has anyone used a "Radio Bookmark"?

My local public radio station is running a pledge drive. One of the things they are offering with a donation is a radio bookmark.

Reading the website, you press the button, and this gizmo records the time/date. You take it home, plug it into a USB port, and the time/date is matched up with the radio stations list of what they were playing. It looks like this is specifically aimed at public radio stations, and the station has to have something set up online for it to work.

Has anyone tried one? Seems like a cool idea, for all those times when I start the car up, to hear the last 30 seconds of what sounds like an interesting story.

I carry a pen in my car that does the same thing. I can write down the time of day as well as the license plate of the car that just hit me. for a $120 donation I would choose a mug. The exception to this is the size of the memory stick. If’ it’s 8 gb then it’s worth $24.

What you DO want is a USB port in your car to play the stuff back on. I carry an 8 gb unit and I keep music, my resume’, Open Office and a number of other useful files on it.
