And if he hasn’t, does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve got them in the kitchen, and I want to terminate the incursion there.
Once I’ve got a solid line of defense, I want to get them out of the kitchen.
Thanks–

RAID. Make sure you get the point of entry. But you are probably looking for a more permanent solution, and I await someone to provide one
The “don’t leave food out” suggestion probably works, but I’m way too much of a slob for that.
I’m going to add some information since I’ve been able to do some more observing this morning.
At first, I thought that the ants were coming in from outside. We’ve got a patio and there appears to be an ant colony under one of the concrete slabs adjacent to the foundation of our townhouse.
However, last night I put out a couple of ant baits. One went on top of that ant colony and one went inside near where the garbage can sits. This morning, I checked the area where the ant bait by the garbage can lives and found ants headed under the wall furthest from the exterior colony.
I think I’ve been pretty good at keeping the exterior colony outside through frequent applications of Raid. But how do I deal with the interior colony?

Cecil on ants.
I’ve got a bit of an ant problem. Any suggestions?
ANTS!! How to get rid of them.
Different types of ants like different types of bait. Here’s some bait recipes.
I’ve rather successfully destroyed at least three diferent colonies of ants at my home by using the following company’s products and advice.
