Sorry, don’t have a picture. the Bedord regiment flag (a depiction of an armored arm with a sword) was used by the patriots from Bedford, MA, during the revolutionary war. I’m told it was captured from the french, during the french and Indian war (of 1766), and that its originin is medieval france. One historian said it might be as old as 700 years. has anyone ever radio carbon dated it?
According to this link from the Town of Bedford, the flag was analyzed at one point and was found to have a textile style consistent with the early 18th century, and that a further analysis showed it had the paint “Prussian Blue” in it, which did not exist prior to 1704.
