A topic is started, and later an off-topic conversation takes place that a moderator splits off into a separate thread. Has a moderator ever created a a split off thread from an off topic conversation in a thread that is already a split off itself?
ISTR that a Politics thread was split into two threads because it kept drifting away from the original person it was supposed to be about, and then one of those threads was split into a Pit thread. I can’t remember anything more, but I have a hunch a certain presidential candidate was mixed up in it somewhere.
I feel like I’ve had to do that. But I can’t cite anything.
Just want to add that split-offs to the cornfield don’t count.
They don’t, that’s just garbage collecting.
