Has there been a movie where the title was not mentioned during the movie?

You’re right, of course. I’d forgotten about that.

There was a movie called Fight Club, but I can’t really say what was mentioned in it - they were quite emphatic.

Apocalypse Now is never said but I do believe it is painted onto a wall at Kurtz’ compound.

American Psycho
Child’s Play
Death Becomes Her
Dumb and Dumber

I’m also pretty sure none of the sequels have the number of the sequel in the dialogue. “Next Saturday night, we’re sending you Back to the Future 3”.

The only time I’ve seen that is in a Garfield cartoon. “You…you’re not Sylvia…you’re one of the Kung Fu Creatures on the Rampage…two”.

Drat - Speaker for the Dead beat me to it.

Doctor Strangelove Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb

The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Actually, Quatermass 2, (supposedly the first ever sequel with 2 in the title) has a Space rocket called the *Quatermass 2. *

Um… you knew you were bleeding, right?

And similarly, in Raiders of the Lost Ark:

One that would have benefited from the using the novel’s explanation- A Clockwork Orange

Anybody got an example of a film with a single word noun title, where that noun is not used at all, or one that is just nouns and conjunctions in which at least one of the nouns is never used?

Psycho

Sorceror
I’ve seen the movie several times. It was years before I learned what the title meant. It’s the name of one of the trucks. It’s written , apparently, but I’m pretty sure no one ever actually says it.
Come to think of it, Sorceress qualifies, too. Not the French one or the other good one – the cheesy Roger Corman circa 1981 movie. There isn’t even a sorceress in the movie! So there’s no need for anyone to say it.

Mel Brook’s “Silent Movie”…no kidding!

Why mention “silent movie?” It was repeatedly used in the dialogue. They kept on talking about plans to make a silent movie.

Of course, the lines were all but one subtitled inmstead of sound, but it still counts.

In our house, one drinks when it isn’t said in the dialogue.

If it happens toward the end we’re too drunk to notice.

I could be wrong here, but Collateral?

My personal favorite is From Here to Eternity. I’ve been reading a lot of Kipling lately.

ETA–Damn, beaten to the punch by Chuck!

Threads, a very depressing British movie about WWIII.
