This may seem a little insensitive but I was wondering if such a feud exists.
We have 2 pair of Vietmanese ,both husband and wife, who work the same shift as I do.
These folks, espically the women are always argueing.
One couple ,according to another Vietnamese fella that used to work there,is from the mountains. The other couple is from another section of the country.
Last night right after break we were all quite entertained by a 5 minute verbal screaming match. It got so bad that at one point the lady who does our Spanish translation jumped between the 2 women.
Is it pretty common for folks from different sections of Vietman to argue like this?
There was a storyline on The Shield about this exact issue.
I think I am qualified to answer this question since I am a native of Viet Name
The answer is NO.
Do you know how long have they been here?
Certainly I’ve seen many non-Vietnamese people arguing violently in the workplace. Is there anything about the situation that makes you think the dispute is more than people being angry?
I think it’s pretty universal that urban and rural people have stereotypes about each other, if that’s helpful.
Jimmy who used to work there did translations.
He is also related to one of the couples.
He is the source of my information.
He’s the one that told me that one of the couples was from the mountains and he said they don’t get along.
Neither couple speak very good english but one of the guys understands english very well.
You might as well say the women don’t speak english.
Don’t know how long they have been here.
