hats

In the book “The Story of Ferdinand” there is a picture of five men wearing different hats. I recognize one hat as a matador’s hat. Does anyone know the names of the other hats?
I tried to paste a picture of the hats but the message board doesn’t seem to allow that.

Is this picture online somewhere? Link?

You can find “The Story of Ferdinand” on the web. The address is below.

If all five of the men had come to fight bulls, aren’t all the hats matadors’ hats?

Only the one in front is wearing a true Matador’s hat. It is supposed to represent the bull’s horns. Frequently, there is a medallion at the center symbolizing the bull’s eye. Here is a list of the hats:

Front = Matador’s hat

Second Row Left = Small Sombrero

Second Row Right = Puritan’s Black Bonnet

Back Left = Russian Cap

Back Right = Cowboy Hat

Hi Beer Penguin. I think they are more than just matador’s hats.
Thank you Zenster for your description of the different hats. I was having trouble figuring out the different types of hats.

To Zenster,

I was wondering if you read the book, “The Story of Ferdinand.” It was written in the 1930’s. Do you see it as a statement of Spain’s position on WW11?
Perhaps others would like to reply on their thoughts of the book. It is a “children’s” book with very few pages. The website below has the book online.
Thanks.
