If these only run on Fox News though, isn’t that just preaching to the choir? Shouldn’t they be trying to get these ads on the other networks and the such?
I’d love to see them run on CNN…but, we know that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. I was just wondering if any of you have seen them yet, because personally, I really enjoy them.
Whaaa…? In your view, is deliberate destruction and devastation of someone else’s property NOT a crime of violence?
If so, I hope you save them a seat.
Calling arson a violent act ain’t spin, it’s accuracy.
“Monkey-wrenching” isn’t civil disobedience, nor is it any sort of legitimate form of protest. It’s plain terrorism. And any organization, no matter how benign in it’s public face, needs to be exposed if it funds this dangerously criminal behavior.
I won’t even buy my mom the Sierra Club calendar she asks for every Christmas.
There is a difference between crimes against property and crimes against people. I can’t believe that you would be foolish enough to think that respecting that difference qualifies as an endorsement of the former.
Burning construction equipment does not inflict terror on populations of innocent people. Equating the destruction of machinery with car bombing, burning autos at a used car lot with machine-gunning tourists at a historical site, and vandalism with knee-capping is not at all obvious. Would you please explain why I should be as outraged by the former as I am by the latter?
Of course there is a difference between crimes against people and crimes against property. But “violence” is not restricted to crimes against people. It’s not “FoxNewsSpeak” to use “violence” in reference to destructive acts. Heck, I’d do it, and I don’t watch FoxNews if I can help it.
You should be outraged because violence is violence, terror is terror, and that is what is being generated regardless of whether people get directly hurt.
Do you not get outraged at a burning cross on someone’s lawn? Or is that simple vandalism, too?
Destruction of private property may seem to be less severe a crime than violence against people, but it’s still a terrorist tactic. Or have you forgotten about the idiots firebombing churches in the middle of the night?
PETA is a group of idiotic thugs and they damage the entire vegetarian cause. Hell, every time I see one of their ads, I personally go slaughter a cow and throw it on the grill. Mmmm… cowburgers…
Peta is also (still) using the Holocaust as a comparison for the eating of meat. They claim that they are not trying trivialize the atrocities of human suffering during the Holocaust and that they have full support of the Jewish community for their effort. Its truly sick and degrading to the Jewish community. You can see this crap at www.masskilling.com. truely pathetic!
