Have any TV weddings gone right?

The wedding of Miles and Keiko O’Brien went smoothly on ST:TNG “Data’s Day” despite the bride-to-be having a slight case of cold feet not long before.

The disaster happened BEFORE the wedding episode. Barbara and Mark were in Las Vegas and got, for lack of a better word, horny. Because Barbara wanted to be a virgin when she was married, she decided to cancel the church wedding and get married in Vegas so she and Mark could have sex. Then after Max, Julie, Ann, Grandma, Schneider and that boy that for some reason was living with them (and turned out to be gay in real life), all came to Vegas, Barbara decided she’d rather not have sex with Mark and instead wait and get married in the church

Yeah. There was no pre-wedding nastiness, and the ceremony itself went off without a hitch. The problems started afterwards, when Luke got in a fist-fight with Scotty.

At the end of The Golden Girls, Dorothy got married without any problems. There was one minor detour when she thinks Stan is going to kidnap her, but they talk about how they’ll always be a part of each other’s lives, and then he takes her to the wedding. It’s been a long time, but I don’t remember anything horrible happening in The Nanny when Fran and Maxwell finally get married–their wackiness began on the honeymoon.

Laura and Almanzo, Mary and Adam from Little House…

Leon freaked a bit when he saw how very camp the reception room was. He locked himself in the men’s room or an anteroom or someplace, with Roseanne, listed all his non-gay attributes, and ended with “And for crissakes, I’m a Republican!”

“Yes, but do you like having sex with men?”

“Well, yes, but–”

“GAY!!!”
