Here’s what God has on his 2005 political agenda:
Robertson said that God told him: “I will remove judges from the Supreme Court quickly, and their successors will refuse to sanction the attacks on religious faith.” Robertson also said that he “heard it from the Lord” that President Bush will have Social Security and tax reform passed and that Muslims will turn to Jesus Christ.

The Jebus Twins may not have yet opined, but a leading Muslim cleric says it’s pretty much all our fault :
"The fact that it happened at this particular time is a sign from Allah. It happened at Christmas, when fornicators and corrupt people from all over the world come to commit fornication and sexual perversion. That’s when this tragedy took place, striking them all and destroyed everything. It turned the land into wasteland, where only the cries of the ravens are heard. I say this is a great sign and punishment on which Muslims should reflect.
“All that’s left for us to do is to ask for forgiveness We must atone for our sins, and for the acts of the stupid people among us and improve our condition. We must fight fornication, homosexuality, usury, fight the corruption on the face of the earth, and the disregard of the lives of protected people.”

Christmas is a time for fornication and sexual perversion?!? Damn, see the fun stuff you miss by being agnostic?
Enjoy,

I am a Christian, who chose to give through a secular organization–BECAUSE I didn’t want any chance of evangelizing, preaching, converting or backslapping on the part of my religion towards those who are suffering.
Kudos! FWIW (and as an atheist, that’s probably not much), from my experience working in a government human services agency, every faith-based charity I’ve ever seen and worked with, local to global, is merely a PR mechanism to gain converts.
