Have I been banned, and how would I know?
I have a question about moderation and received a warning 3 weeks ago for NOT taking what was deemed to be a complaint about moderation to ATMB. Then, this morning, I received another warning FOR asking a question about the rules in ATMB. I asked the mod where I should direct the question and received an unhelpful reply, to say the very least.
So, I’m wondering: have I been banned? And if not, where do I direct questions about the rules?

Well, last evening I received an insulting, threadshitting comment that used a word that I understood to be forbidden in most contexts.
There were at least 4 mods participating in the discussion who ignored it. (I would identify them but apparently doing so turns my comment into a “snide” remark about other “posters” that constitutes “trolling”. I received a warning for it; my 3rd in 4 weeks.)
So I just want to make sure I’m clear on the rule so I can understand it. Is this where I ask it?
I’m guessing this thread is what got you the latest warning, and it was not for asking a question but rather the content and choice of words. sure enough you were told pretty clearly at the closing post of the thread why. But no obviously you’re not banned at this point.
Are you asking about the word trolling? Moderators are certainly allowed to use it, and, in your case, the rest of us wish we could but are limited to doing so in the Pit.

You’ve gotten three warnings. Only three.
One was for calling another person a “monkey” (which was the second time you did that). You broke the rule “No insulting others” there.
One was for continuing talking about mod behavior and being snarky against mods in a GQ thread. You broke the rule “He’s ignoring mod instruction” there.
One was for trolling, by making topic after topic in this forum when it’s clear all you want to do is make snide remarks about posters or staff. You broke the rule “Don’t troll on here” there.
Seems very clear to me…I don’t understand what you’re having a problem with understanding.
Futhermore, if you’re wondering:
-Using the word monkey on here is not against the rules, but, yes, calling other posters that is.
-Using the word “Libtard” depends on context and the mod giving it, but, no, you were not warned for using that word.
-Using the word “Nigger” as an insult or slur is against the rules, yes, although using that word in discussion is okay. No, you weren’t warned for that, though.
-And yes, moderators on here are allowed to imply you were trolling by saying “Stop trolling”.

I mean, maybe we’re the ones who are banned, and all those people we THINK are banned, are actually posting on the real SDMB. Think about it…!!!
He has to be talking about this warning. (that he got in GQ or ignoring mod instruction). He’s already said it’s not about the warning he got yesterday and it being the first one doesn’t fit, so it has to be the second one.
We already went through the “Why you were warned for this” round in this thread (made shortly after he got warned) however.
So, again, to answer the question: You were not warned for the use of “Libtard”, Grotonian. It’s been made very clear to you at this point. You were warned for insulting others, ignoring mod instruction, and seeming like you’re trolling with some of the topics you’ve made and the posts in them…all in that order. That’s three warnings and about the third time it’s clearly been explained to you.
You either understand it by now (in which case, this topic has been answered), you never will by this point (in which case, this topic is futile as you’ve been answered many times) or you’re just acting like you don’t (in which case, you really MAY find yourself banned soon).
My strong suggestion is, if you want to remain a member here, you let it go and stop making ATMB topics unless you have an actual, valid concern about something and are not just using the topics for further snarking/arguing.
