Have name-brand Kleenex gotten smaller & thinner lately?

I recently bought a 3-pack of boxes of Kleenex, but they seem very thin and a little smaller than they used to be. I usually buy store-brand tissues, so it probably has been a while since I used real Kleenex. Has there really been a dropoff in Kleenex quality, or am I just not remembering what they’ve always been like?

I’m not sure about smaller, but I have been having more trouble with them tearing when I pull them out of the pop-up box.

I don’t know about Kleenex specifically, but this has been happening to a number of products in the past few years. I first noticed Charmin bathroom tissue had gotten narrower a couple of years ago when I saw both the old and new sizes on one shelf.

What isn’t smaller, or thinner, or reduced in weight or volume or count, or taken off the shelves altogether, or marked “25% MORE FREE” in a smaller amount than you paid half as much for a year ago? Don’t you know there’s an economic meltdown on?

Boy howdy, have I noticed the Grocery Shrink-Ray at work.

Those 3-packs are worse than the single boxes. But they’ve all shrank. And Puffs are not so puffy anymore.

Everything’s gotten smaller and thinner lately except me, hardy-har. I was in Real Deals dollar store last week and there was a package of no-name TP and the 4 rolls were SO small, about 2/3 the size of a regular brand. Ridiculous!

Moved Cafe Society --> MPSIMS.

Noted by me last week. The cardboard roll in TP is now slightly larger in circumference than previously: all brands. The old cardboard roll will fit inside the new cardboard roll.

Amazing that this would save enough money to justify whatever retooling needed to take place to accommodate the larger blank.

Remember when Pringles fit snugly inside the can? The whole idea was it kept them from breaking due to being tossed around. Now there is just as much space as chips, in the can. You’re lucky to get mostly whole chips.
