Have The British Government Released The Inquiry (On The London Riots)?

And if so, what are the conclusions?
I haven’t seen anything on it over here…but (anecdotally), I heard that it wasn’t just poor kids participating…some upper class and middle class kids were happy to join in the fun.
At any rate, there must have been and official investigation-have the reslts been released?

The independent inquiry is due to report in full by the end of March next year. Here’s the terms of reference:

It wasn’t just “poor kids”, but I wouldn’t agree with your implication that kids in all types of circumstances were involved. It seemed generally driven by relatively small groups of young people in dense urban areas who were unemployed, or underemployed, and frustrated at the lack of opportunities and the general economic malaise, coupled with opportunism by other young people who just wanted to steal goods or break things (whose desires were stoked by the strong sense that the police were overstretched and struggling to intervene in the initial stages of the riots).

“Upper class” doesn’t really exist nowadays, any more than it does in the US.

Wow, really? I can’t wait to see Bill, Melinda and Warren down at the local McDonalds trying to save a few bucks… What? Too snarky?

Wealth isn’t class.
