There’s any number of “Bill’s Evil” and “Hillary’s Evil” and “Bill & Hillary are evil” books on the market, but are there any insider tell-alls about the administration ala Scott McLellan’s (allegedly) tell-all memoir of the Bush Administration (or for that matter books critical of various 20th century administrations from people who held appointed positions in them)?
This list of books about the Clinton Administration consists of Bill/Hillary’s books and mostly books written by journalists, political hacks of both parties, or freelance writers. None seem to come from Clinton Admin officials though. Considering how many scandals there were and how much financial incentive there is to kiss and tell whether it’s true or not, the absence of the ultimate Clinton tell-all seems surprising. His people must be very loyal.
That is what I was thinking. Vince Foster was writing a tell-all book that was cut short when Hillary gave him a killer blow-job in a DC area park and then blew his head off. Hillary is widely known to give unparalled head that is greater than every intern in the world but most consider it too risky.
Read Ken Starr’s report (but only if you are into pornographic literature).
$70 million of taxpayers money to produce a report that documents trysts between two consenting adults. I’ve read the report and it can only be the product of a frustrated, sick mind. It reveals little other than than the obsessions of the investigators.
Was Clinton a saint? Absolutely not. He did however start to sell out after he got the investigators off his tail. By that time the investigators and political enemies had probably converted him to their tactics and given him a sense of entitlement (that Hillary still holds). The Mark Rich situation may be the most corrupt act in his administration and that was in the very last phase, after all was said and done.
There are books out there that disparage the “Liberals” which is the label that they like to attach to the Clintons. However, those same authors never acknowledge how world events have proven their suppositions, theory’s and beliefs to be wrong.
He WAS independent (and that’s Counsel, not Council). He was independent of the Department of Justice, which is part of the executive branch and therefore unsuitable to investigate presidential (or related personnel) wrongdoing. (see: Nixon, R. M.; Cox, A.).
Sorry, but the use of quotes around the word Independent because Starr had ties to right-wing groups has always bugged me.
Clinton’s handpicked CIA Director wrote an a$$coving, self-serving book called At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA in which he paints an unflattering picture of the Clinton Administration.
