There was a poster named Rev. Mykeru a couple of months ago. He was quite prickly and controversial. He pissed off quite a few regulars with his apparent insensitivity and got a major Pit pile-on. During that pile-on, I posted in his defense, basically, “Lighten the fuck up, people!” Many of the “pilers” didn’t. He certainly didn’t. In fact, he escalated, while the “pilers” kept wheezing out many of their same “points.”
Then, he made The Fatal Mistake[sup]tm[/sup]: He started a thread about his “Countdown to Banning.” Dumb. Might as well have hung a “Kick me in the balls, really fucking hard” sign on himself. Personally, I think if he’d lurked a little more, he would have seen how uncool that shit is around here. I emailed him that he did make that fatal mistake, even if he (and I) thought he was treated unfairly in the pile-on thread. Ah, well, he didn’t see it as any great loss to him.
Anyhow, do a search on Rev. Mykeru. It’s a pretty interesting story of someone committing suicide by Mod. Some shit just won’t fly around here, and frankly, I’d rather be a member of a message board which I sometimes disagree with (at no charge even!) than complete fucking anarchy.

Yes several and I wont say who…I am friends with them and they know who they are…but it’s not my board so I have little or no say to their reinstatement.
I keep in touch with them off the boards but they all seem to be doing fine without the confines of the boards, a few are actually thriving.
Incubus emailed me a while ago, and said basically the same thing. Since I WAS surprised at his sudden change of personality, I accept this explanation. I’m gonna close this thread now.
