Have you cheated (and sampled your Halloween candy) yet?

Okay, I’ve prepared little zip-lock baggies of H’ween candy, so I don’t have to hurriedly grab from the various bags under the intense gazes of the kids’ anxious and impatient eyes.

Each kid will get a baggie containing:

1 mini-packet of Whoppers malt balls
4 mini-lollypops with no redundancies
3 tiny candy bars: 1 Milky Way, 1 3 Musketeers, 1 Snickers (the Twixes and Milky Way “Midnight” (dark choc.) ones are mine, mine, MINE, I tell you!)
1 Sugar Daddy caramel lolly (a long rectangle of caramel on a lolly stick)

But I ran out of the Whoppers packs, so the remainder will get an extra three mini-lollipops instead.

If this largesse translates into one less incident of vandalism and especially car vandalism over the years, it’ll be well worth it.

I broke into one of the bags of Junior mints and had a couple of the mini-boxes. I love me some Junior mints.

Payday and Snickers bars. Nom nom nom nom …

We get like 1 to 2 trickertreaters a year MAYBE, so of course I went and bought a big 'ol bag of candies! I bought Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter cups and will probably save 1 to 2 pieces for the kids. They may have to split one. But WHATEVER, I just found out i’m pregnant so I figure I want them more than the kids!

Scrivener, you’re a lot more generous than we are - kids get two little chocolate bars from me - and that’s AFTER walking up a big hill in front of our house! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

Dark chocolate peanut butter cups? If we get those here, I will be in serious, serious trouble.

I tried to wait until Halloween, but this morning I needed to shave and had to break down and open the Wilkinson Swords. . .

It’s a joke, ok? We live in the country on a long private lane. Never had a trick/treater

This year I’m thinking of grabbing the box of skittles and starburst, as we only had about 12 kids last year. I grabbed a couple bags of cheesies (with individual bags inside) last time and I ate them until I was sick of them so I brought them to work.

I don’t have candy yet, not cuz I would eat it but my son and mom would be all over them and I’d have to buy more by Halloween anyway.

I actually bought mine early this year (instead of the night before) and am proud to say that I haven’t even touched it. In fact, I almost bought more having forgotten about the candy.

But, I keep a bowl of Kisses on my counter for when I get the chocolate munchies, and I made myself a batch of haystack cookies - and compared to haystack cookies, candy is so MEH.

I needed a couple of tootsie rolls for my sewer water punch for our halloween party this weekend, and I bought some extra halloween candy for halloweeners while I was at Wal-Mart - they’ll be getting tootsie rolls and hallow-mallows (marshmallows shaped like pumpkins and ghosts and shit). I get the good stuff - the kids get the cheap stuff.

Hmm, I may have the wrong attitude towards this trick-or-treating stuff.

Thanks, but I managed to get everything on sale, so it wasn’t so bad. And in recent years, my downstairs neighbors have been downright shitty and haven’t put out any candy, so I feel I have to overcompensate.
