Last Friday… after MONTHS of harassment… someone decided that it was time to ram my car from behind while I was driving home after dropping my son off at school. Whoever ‘they’ are, they’ve had the exact timing of my driving him to and from school down for a while now.
After she rammed me, at high speed, she sideswiped the side of my car into a modern art sculpture. When she stopped, the guy behind her in a pick-up truck with a flag mounted in the bed (her muscle if I did something?) drove past both of our damaged cars honking his horn in celebration.
The woman who did this? She then shook her fist in the air in triumph. (I was on the phone to 911 at the time and the audio is public record). She told police later that it was an accident.
I’m in a lot of pain… I can’t walk more than 20 feet w/o back pain and I can’t drive more than 2 miles w/o back pain from even a drivers seat. I’m taking what the ER prescribed, but I feel ‘drunk’ when I do.
I feel like a very large part of my life has now been stolen from me by some politically motivated ASSHOLE (best term I could come up with).
I don’t know if Bernie or Hillary will win, but I feel like I’ve just lost a significant amount of my personal health and well being, against my will, just for trying to support them.
(The following day, Chelsea visited my town. I wasn’t well enough to attend and that Really pisses me off. I will NEVER, in my Lifetime… Ever… get to meet any serious candidate for president or their family. I’ve carried enough water where THAT HURTS.
And No… Trump staring at a ice-cubes melting in his glass while ignoring me as a teenager Does Not Count.)
It’d be pretty easy for me to say, “Hate & Kill those FotherMuckers Every Chance You Get!” but then I’d be as bad as They are. And I don’t even know if I’m here in this Alone.
So. Have Any of You ever been physically attacked for your political beliefs?

A little more of the story would be useful here. How do you know they went after you because of your political beliefs? What was the months of harassment?
I was wondering about how the OP knew the attack was politically motivated. (Also, why it’s relevant that the attacker “shook her fist in the air in triumph” when noting that the audio of the 911 call is public record. Is a fist shake particularly loud?)

Its about the only thing I do so its pretty much it. Also, the Big Flag mounted in the back of the p/u truck honking its horn? Kind of a clue. But its not about Me, it about Other people… a place for Their stories…

Anyway, I haven’t been attacked for my political beliefs since 1972. Then it was mace from a cop because I didn’t like Nixon. Or it could have been because the guy next to me was calling the cop a pig and a fag. A guy also tried to run me over with his car and I kicked a pretty good dent into his door panel. Politics makes people act stupid.
I’m also finding the OP story very cryptic and sparse on important details. I don’t put political stickers or any bumper stickers on my car because not only do I think they’re tacky but also cause I want to avoid some asshole keying my car or something.
I’m an atheist and got into a debate with a self-professed Christian one time who became so irrational and enraged that he tried to attack me and push me to the ground but he was a small guy so he couldn’t really do anything to me and I just laughed in his face.
This post is just slander. You claim it was politically motivated, but you don’t mention anything about politics at all. You were hit, some guy honked at you, and someone shook their fist at you. Nothing politically motivated at all here. How about you actually put some details down and explain in what way this was politically motivated, or someone delete this thread?
Or you could, you know, just ignore it. Not everything on this board has to appeal to everyone.
I have not been physically attacked for my political beliefs, which I put down mostly to the fact that no-one knows what they are. I see enough aggro on the news about politically-based violence and disputes without inviting it into my life. If my vote isn’t enough support, too bad.
Was this lady ticketed? What sort of compensation are you seeking from her insurance company? After looking through your post history, you don’t appear to have many controversial political opinion posts. I mean compared to others on the Dope, you appear to be relatively tame. So why would out of state private investigators be targeting you?
As far as the question in the OP, no, I’ve never been physically attacked over my political beliefs.
This was for other people to post Their experiences, not for Shills to attack me for mine.
None of you are owed any more about mine. When it’s all settled, if I feel comfortable with it, I might post more… but this thread is about Other people’s experiences with physical attacks and intimidation.
