Have you ever been to towns with the same name in different countries?

Yup, been to both those pairs too. I agree with your assessment.

I’m looking at a map of New Zealand, and I’m pretty sure I’ve been through Hamilton, so I can add that one since as I said before, I’ve been to Hamilton Bermuda.

Granada Hills, CA and Granada, Spain.

Don’t think that really counts, but I’ve been to both of them. The Alhambra is one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture on the planet, and Granada Hills sucks.

Which reminds me, I’ve been to Valencia, California and Valencia, Spain.

Also, I’ve been to Los Angeles, Chile so I can add that to L.A. and Bangkok.

I’ve been to Inverness, CA and Inverness, Scotland, and both are completely great towns.

Lakewood, Ca. Visited friends there many times.

Lakewood, Ohio. used to live there, took those same friends (from Ca.) to visit. They were amused.

Border towns of Nogales, AZ, USA and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Neither one is very exciting, truth be told.

Intercourse, Penna. would qualify. (Been through that)
Pensacola, Fla, & Peniscola, Spain are close (haven’t been there, though).

Salzburg, Austria and Salzburg, Germany.
Florence, CA and Florence, Italy

I drove through Paris VA:

“Paris is a community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Fauquier County at latitude 39.005 and longitude -77.951 (Paris Panoramio Photos). The elevation is 804 feet. Paris appears on the Ashby Gap U.S. Geological Survey Map. Fauquier County is in the Eastern time zone (GMT -5). Observes DST? Yes. Current Time. | Paris, VA ZIP Code Maps” (Wiki).

Several towns in southern Illinois bear the names of major European cities: Paris, Rome, Athens*, Vienna, Salzburg, etc. I’ve been to several of them.

*OK, Athens is central, not southern, Illinois, but the idea stands.

Melbourne, FL, USA and Melbourne, VIC, Australia.
There’s probably some more, but I can’t think of any at the moment.

Lancaster…about 1/3 of the states has a town called Lancaster in the U.S.
So does England, Canada and Austrailia.

I’ve only been to a few of them…but not for the cycle.

I live in Le Roy NY and there are 20 (or more) around the US, Canada, Italy.

I have been to all of them. Very interesting.
