Have you ever flopped the nuts?

Because it’s quite attractive if you have…

I have… a few times. It’s always a really pleasurable feeling.

Once I was playing with my wife and she gave me a backdoor flush. That felt good.

When you rotate your car’s tires, you’re to rotate the lugnuts as well to maintain balance and even wear. Certainly I do that regularly and I hope you do as well.

I hate it when I’m just one jack off from flopping the nuts.

I have, a few times. But at least twice someone blasted off into my nuts only to river me. Blasting off into my nuts isn’t halfway as fun as flopping the nuts.

Have you ever sat on your nuts? They don’t teach you about that in Health class.

I don’t know what exactly flopping means in the OP’s context, but I generally highly dislike any moving sensation in the balls, even when jogging and feeling them going up and down or any sort of swaying movement.

I do believe with only seven replies so far, this thread has made me laugh the hardest so far in my history of being here on the SDMB.

For anyone who needs to know what I presume is the real reference

Yeah I googled it! And “backdoor flush” …

Never have myself. But ignorance reduced today!

What are you all insinuating?!

Everything I know about sitting on one’s nuts I learned from Mr. Belvedere.

(Overheard at dinner party):

“Professor, will you pass the nuts?”

“Probably, but I really should fail them. Their grades are horrible.”

Flopping them probably requires a crap-ton more sack than I realistically have.

I flopped a Brunson once. And I stayed with it!

Tripler
One of my smartest moves ever.

I used to flop my pecans before I started wearing dentures.

Then it wasn’t the nuts.

That’s nuts.

Okay now a real question. It’s the nuts at that time in the game but can no longer be the nuts as more community cards are dealt … right? So the river can change it up … yes?

Ignorance asking.

I could be wrong, so don’t take my answer as truth or fact, but I always thought that THE NUTS was the BEST POSSIBLE HAND a person could make with the hand they have. Like, you cannot get any better than what is on the board.

Note, it is not the best possible hand ANYONE could make, because you don’t know what other players have, therefore when you say “oh, I just flopped the nuts”… it cannot (by logic) include other peoples’ hands, just yours.

So yes, a turn and river can make hands better than yours that other players have…but not you, because the best hand you could have gotten were already in the first three cards shown.

But I could be wrong.

Well I’m only going from what I googled and linked to:

You might start with the nuts and lose your grip as other cards come into play. Careful and continuous evaluation of your hand’s standing against potential hands held by your rivals is always of utmost importance.

So if I got it right, by the river your nuts could be blasted … and you’re a sad sack after all. :slightly_smiling_face:
