Have you ever mis heard a line from a movie...

Since there has been quite a number of lyrics threads on this, but when I searched for movie examples…I couldn’t find any.

So same question in terms of movie quotes…are there any you mis heard…or just couldn’t figure out?

For me…I made a reference to a line from Police Academy (the original) during a recent discussion about George Martin. From the movie “I’m not really George Marteen, I’m just George Martin. Fourth generation 'merican” My friend replied with “Holy shit…is that what he says…I’ve been trying to figure that out for years.”
Another time…I made a reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark…“You’re fire is dying…why don’t you tell me where the piece is right now”
My friend replied with “Listen 'ere, Mack, nobody tells me what to do in my place.”
I always thought she said: “Listen, Air Mack” It doesn’t make sense…but that’s how I heard it since I was nine.

Another I recently figured out through closed captions…Empire Strikes Back, when they are on Hoth running to the Falcon, I always thought Han said “hurry up Golden Rod, or you’ll be part of the remnants.” but the line is “Hurry up Golden Rod, or you’ll be a permanent resident”

I can’t be the only one to figure out a line after so many years.

There’s a line in A FEW GOOD MEN, where Jack Nicholson is telling Tom Cruise he can’t handle the truth – adding that, if you won’t thank him for standing guard so you can keep waking up every morning, then you can either stop talking or you can pick up a weapon and stand opposed: put up or shut up, pistols at dawn, the time for words is over, the time for action is now, walk away while you still can or get ready to fight.

Apparently he’s saying “stand a post.”

I saw “Who’s Harry Crumb” in the theaters when it first came out. In one scene, John Candy is holding photos (which he has actually not seen yet) of some marital indiscretions involving either Jeffrey Jones or Annie Potts. He’s joking to his client (either Potts or Jones) about the man’s manhood (again, Crumb hasn’t seen the photos), holding his thumb and index finger real close together saying something like, “And look at that tiny little wingus.”

However, I’ve seen this several times on premium cable, and that is not the line. It’s more like “And look at that tiny little. . . [looks around, sees his “Word of the Day” desk calendar]. . . fallacy.”
