No, I’ve never pulled a muscle wiping my butt, or anybody else’s for that matter.
But I did herniate a disk while pulling on my underpants. I tell people I did it rescuing children from a burning orphanage, but it was actually while pulling on my underpants.
I’m home yesterday and today because I tweaked/sprained/pulled something in my upper back and it’s excruciating to try to do normal office work, like typing and reaching for things. I’ve been lying on a heating pad and in about fifteen minutes, I’ll go the pharmacy for some prescription nsaids.
And what did I do to earn this strain? Nothing. I did no sort of twisting or reaching or physical exertion. Dr. Google says that common causes of upper back pain are doing close computer work and poor posture. I say that the one thing leads to the other.
And it does make wiping one’s butt a painful ordeal.
