have you ever wiki searched your name?

No results on wiki, I tried changing my oddly spelled last name to it’s most common variant, but still no results. A general Google search only brings up some Christian musician’s Twitter, a few random Facebook pages, and two high school athletes. So my names pretty boring apparently.

Only other person with my name was a distant cousin who was of some significance in the world of local Rugby. I, on the other hand, hate rugby with the fiery passion of a billion suns, so it’s a little bit annoying when people Google me and get a lot of nonsense about some stupid game I don’t give a shit about.

I am the only one who has ever lived with my exact first and last name. There was a dentist in NY who died several years ago with my last name and a variant spelling of my first name.

Just did.
No page for my name.

According to google I am the only one of me in the US.

Thanks for that Googlism link. I am pleased to report that my real name returns so many hits that I am comfortably ensconced in obscurity should evil forces attempt to Google me.

Also, some of me are not especially nice “…is a fucking bastard” shows up.

Just tried it and got no hits.

Wikipedia has nothing for my name, though the Spanish Wiki has an article on my father. Nothing from the Googlism link, either.

Googling returns me, wiki returns nada.

What’s a wiki search.

Go to Wikipedia and use their search function on your name: top right.

There were no results matching the query.

The page “Ethilrist” does not exist.

The page “<insert real name here>” does not exist.

So, I don’t exist.

A soccer player from the thirties and the nom de guerre of a Medal of Honor winner during the Boxer Rebellion.
Weird, I have a common name. Just a bunch of mediocre folks I guess.

I “exist” in wiki, for something I did in my wild and crazy youth, which still continues … although I am no longer wild, crazy (but that’s debatable), or youthful.

Googlism doesn’t know me for squat!

I have no entry under my name (not even a namesake), but I show up as a reference in a number of entries in the Scottish Wiki.

Just Wiki’d my last name. Four hits, no pages. One for my cousin the deacon, two for his son the middle-school principal, and one for our other cousin’s son the jazz musician.

“Fidelius” gets 14 hits, mostly Potter-related, and three from Jack Vance.

I have made no impact on the Wikiverse at all.

No pages for my name, though my first and last names show up separately in a list of people executed in Texas between 1990 and 1999 and their victims. :dubious:

Nuttin’. I got nuttin’.

On wiki, I found:
Australian historian
mathematician
software engineer
American pop music composer
Treasury official

one of which is the real me. I once saw a photo of one of the others in the NYTimes. Gave me a turn. But he had a middle initial (I don’t).

I just tried googlism on my name and it only had one line. It said I was “soapy in the shower”
Wikipedia doesn’t know me. :frowning:

Ooh, what pop songs have you composed?
