Have you finished your Holiday Shopping?

Holdon now…we have to WRAP these things too?

I can’t just put the Amazon shipping boxes in the middle of the floor and say “Ok, guess which one is yours!”?

Ok well then I’m not “done” but I did procure some wrap and gift tags from mom’s house. I will commence to wrapping once my final Amazon shipments arrive.

For possibly the first time in my life … Yes! I have finished shopping before Christmas Eve. Finished on Saturday, in fact.

Followup: The wrapping on the other hand …

Still, since I’m done shopping, I’ll be able to wrap at my leisure after work all this week.

… said the procrastinator.

Done a week ago (except that I bought some Hanukah presents yesterday.) Finished wrapping Saturday night, except for one thing I forgot to wrap. Kids being gone this year means we can leave stuff out, and Thanksgiving being early seemed to give us more time.

I’m waiting for one game that may not be released by Xmas, so I might have to go to the mall to pick it up if it shows.

I’ve still got about 1/2 of my things to buy. This isn’t as dire as it sounds, since we don’t buy for out-of-town people, other than my husband’s folks, and their gifts are already bought, wrapped and sent. My husband has finished his shopping (he only buys for me) – I need to get a couple of things for him, a couple for our son, and several things for our daughter. I’ll have a long day of shopping tomorrow, but then it’ll be done.

Technically Im not done, since I still have stuff on my list, but I ran out of money.

So, no more shopping for me! I got at least one thing for everyone, so nothing embarrasing should happen.

I’ve got to figure out what the hell to buy for my brother other than a funny T-shirt, and I’ve got $35 left in the budget to spend on my husband. I’m really happy that we have a shopping center that’s not a mall within 10 minutes of us. It’s got a Dick’s (sporting goods), Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, and Michael’s. If I have to, I’ll drive an extra 10 minutes to SuperTarget and Marshall’s. I have managed to keep out of malls this season, for which I am eternally greatful! If I get really desperate, I can drive south for 10 minutes and get to a Burlington Coat Factory that’s attached to a mall, but has a separate entrance.

I’ve been wrapping 5-6 gifts each night this week (that’s all my back can handle), so I may have to enlist hubby’s help tomorrow, in case I’m not done. Now, if only I could find the shirts I bought for my nephews, I’d be golden!

The only person I haven’t bought for is my SO. Now, he’s not getting anything huge, neither am I, as we agreed to buy some things for ourselves (home stuff) but still, you want something to open, don’t you? So I’ll buy some today or tomrorow.

Still need something for the grandfather-in-law, and a small something for a brother-in-law, and there’s still about a dozen gifts that need wrapping. I bought 95% of it online (and most of that on Amazon). My husband swore that since I took care of the shopping, he’d take care of the wrapping, but so far he’s not showing much incentive in that department. I think we’re going to play the “let’s see who can wait it out the longest” game.
